WIN-BIG Mentor of Future Leaders Programme speaks at the Giornata delle Donne e delle Ragazze nella Scienza"
Ms. Concetta Messina, one of WIN-BIG Mentors of Future Leaders, was invited to speak at the "Giornata delle Donne e delle Ragazze nella Scienza" in Erice, Italy, to speak on "Promotion of New Professional Skills for Women in the Marine Sector".
The Women and Girls in Science Day (Giornata delle Donne e delle Ragazze nella Scienza) was celebrated on 11 February 2025, and Ms.Concetta Messina, one of WIN-BIG Mentors of Future Leaders, was invited to speak on "Promotion of New Professional Skills for Women in the Marine Sector". Professor Messina works at the University of Palermo, at the Department of Earth and Sea Sciences (DiSTeM) which is part of the University Consortium of the Province of Trapani (CUPT).
This event was organized in Erice, Italy, at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture, which is a scientific organisation based in Erice, Sicily.
After her presentation on the activities of University of Palermo, Professor Messina introduced the WIN-BIG Mentors of Future Leaders Programme, inspiring secondary school students to imagine their future in marina Science and beyond.
