PIanning and Implementing Equality in Blue Economy
We are thrilled to invite you to the workshop "PIanning and Implementing Equality in Blue Economy" organised by the WINBLUE and the WIN-BIG projects in the framework of the European Maritime Day 2024.
The workshop aims to engage different stakeholders and projects related to the Blue Economy to exchange knowledge and identify actions enabling women’s empowerment and mainstreaming equality in the Blue Economy. The first session will introduce the challenges related to the inclusion process of women in this sector and give information about the projects. Participants are also invited to play an active role in the second session, which will explore Gender Knowledge mapping, and will discuss the processes to establish a systematic data collection and the process that may facilitate the creation of equality and inclusive plans in the public and private organisations and good practices.

The European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual two-day event during which Europe’s maritime community meet to network, discuss and outline joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy.
The EMD is the place where ‘Ocean Leaders Meet’. It provides an engaging and completely interactive experience to catch up on the current state of play on a broad range of issues concerning the blue economy and the marine environment and to discuss ways of moving forward.
